I added too much water in the rice which made it <i>"beri bath"</i> and I over cooked the the dhal to an extent where the <i>"parippu eta"</i> had all dissolved into the broth and it tasted terrible... hee hee. However, with trial and error my culinary skills have improved over the years though. :) I remember the first couple of times I tried my hand at cooking when I started living by my self.
